Anesthesia is one of the medical sciences disciplines in which students learn about the principles and practices of anesthesia, as well as the accompanying equipment, medication, and pharmaceuticals. Students also learn how to care for patients who are under local and general anesthesia before, during, and after surgery. Furthermore, the program includes learning the procedures and principles of acute pain treatment services for crises. Under the guidance of an anesthesiologist, graduates might work in teaching hospitals. The program's goal is to prepare graduates to care for patients in post-anesthesia care units (PACUs) under the direction of an anesthesiologist, provide acute pain management services (APMS), and assist in cardiopulmonary and cerebral resuscitation (CPCR).
