The department's mission is to enhance students' abilities to analyze, simulate, build, measure, design, and implement solutions across a broad spectrum of engineering domains by providing them with a solid understanding of the basic principles, including mathematics, physics, and aerospace. Students are educated about product development and production processes, as well as how to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
